VS MUSIC

Hi, there. My name is Vishwa Surabhi, and I’m a senior at Langley High School. I’ve always been passionate about music and I love creating unique pieces. I play both the trumpet and the electric guitar. I’ve been playing them for more than seven years now. I always try to introduce new concepts into my music.

Living life in tune

I am always humming to myself, trying to create melodies. I’ll usually record the melody somewhere so I can remember it for later. All kinds of musical ideas are constantly bouncing around my head whenever I hear something that appeals to me.

I grew up in Herndon, Virginia, and have been expanding my love for music ever since I laid hands on a tiny acoustic guitar at a house party. I was hooked to music and I submerged myself in jamming out on an electric guitar. Eventually, I developed an interest in jazz music which made me choose to play the trumpet and allowed me to discover new music that catches my ear, from experimental hip hop to art pop. My pieces span a variety of genres and they all have a special place in my heart, taking influence from classical music to big concert band arrangements.
